our story
La Marelle was established in 2008 by Francophone parents who wanted their children to be taught French. La Marelle is a non-profit organisation registered with the Charity Commission. The school is part of the FLAM network.
OUR VALUES
La Marelle is founded on the same principles as French Schools. Here, quality teaching is combined with respect, secularism, ethics, inclusion and equality.
Students attending La Marelle benefit from the school’s positive approach to teaching. This encourages each child to become confident and take an active role in their learning.
The focus is on not only learning, but also fostering a caring environment. This creates a climate of trust and respect between the students and teachers.
THE TEAM
All the staff at La Marelle are French speakers. Our entire teaching team is native French speaking, in addition to having a high standard of English. Each member of the team has an enhanced DBS certificate (criminal record check) and most are trained in paediatric first aid.
